I think I'm going to love the dress up stage. I love watching his little imagination at work. And let me tell you, it is really working lately! The things he says crack me up! I'd really like to make him some super hero masks soon!

New Camera Bag

So my amazing husband bought me an Olympus D-SLR for my birthday and it's been sitting on my bookshelf high out of toddler reach for the last month. After searching online for a camera bag I decided they are all A) Too Expensive and B) Super ugly! So then the search became one for a great camera bag tutorial. When Joann's put their foam 1/2 off, it was time to get this party stated. So with no further ado, my new camera bag:

because I'm too tired to write much.. We've been potty training around here this week, so it's kind of a miracle that I finished 3 nursing covers yesterday. Well, maybe not... I sew when I'm stressed.
These three covers are adorned with some of the vintage lace my grandmother gave me at our last visit. I need to post a picture of the stash she sent home with me some time!

 

A Gift

Just finished this one for my neighbor and her sweet little boy (born Saturday!) He was a little early and I was a little late but anyway, I hope she likes it! Can't wait to go meet that sweet little baby!

Heirloom Chenille Quilt

I found this amazing tutorial on Pinterest and had to try it. And it's baby central around here! Six (count 'em, 6) babies due from June-August. Ca---razy. Anyway, I decided to make this one for my friend's baby. The tutorial I used is GREAT and the finished product is AMAZING but I do not have the machine for it at all. It would have been much easier with a long-armed sewing machine. But I pushed through and was totally excited with the end result. Here you go:

A Flyer

So, I've been told by a very business savvy friend of mine that I need to create some flyers.... Not exactly my cup of tea but since I'm laid up with a horrible cold, nothing much to do but play on the computer, I gave it a shot. Let me know what you think. Be honest because if you don't like it, chances are other people won't either. I'm thinking I should have studied advertising instead of Psychology. It would be much more helpful right about now! 

I've looked up a few articles online about creating flyers but I get about two lines read and then can't stand it anymore. I'm pretty sure my iPhone has wrecked my attention span. Thanks in advance for all the helpful feedback!
